What's the Training?
Training includes:
- Internship with an employer, a Community-Based Organization (CBO) or other youth serving organizations
- High school equivalency classes (to secure a GED or high school diploma)
- Facilitated workshops in customer service skills or job readiness skills, including resume writing and interviewing tips
- Occupation-specific training through approved training providers
- Leadership development courses
- Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) remediation (through partnerships with local school districts)
Once you complete any of the services listed above, a Workforce Solutions professional will continue to work with you to determine if additional training is recommended, or if you are ready for a job to ensure you successfully complete the program.
