NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Hidalgo, Starr & Willacy County

Child Care Providers

 Workforce Solutions Inc., the local workforce development board, is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization, overseeing workforce development programs, including Child Care Services in Hidalgo, Starr and Willacy Counties.  The Board receives Workforce Investment Act (WIA), Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)/Choices, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Employment and Training, and Child Care Development funds, among others.  These federal funds pass through the Texas Workforce Commission to the Board. In accordance with Planning Guidelines issued by the Texas Workforce Commission, Texas Administrative Code, Title 40 Part 20-Chapter 809.13 Board Policies for Child Care Chapter 809.20 Maximum Provider Reimbursement Rates Workforce Solutions is re-evaluating current Child Care Provider Reimbursement Rates.

Workforce Solutions will hold a public hearing to solicit comments on the subject of child care maximum reimbursement rate changes.

The public hearing is scheduled as follows:

September 10, 2009, 5:30 p.m.
