Child Care Assistance

Finding a way to pay for child care is a constant challenge for many working families.  Workforce Solutions provides financial assistance to help parents afford to pay for child care while they work, go to school, or participate in job training to become self-sufficient.

The Child Care Services (CCS) program benefits not only families, but also child care providers and the greater community.

Workforce Solutions strives to enhance the quality and availability of child care services using all available resources.  Examples of past local initiatives include:

  • Professional development opportunities for providers;
  • Resources to increase capacity to care for infants and toddlers;
  • Training and/or resources for inclusion of children with special needs;
  • Equipment, curriculum and incentives to promote and reward quality child care services; and
  • Securing local funds to match federal dollars in order to provide assistance to more individuals.
